Schenectady Radiologists, PC, (SRPC Medical Imaging) was established in the 1970s. Since then, SRPC radiologists ("Radiologists" are Medical Doctors specially trained in "reading" or "interpreting" medical images) have provided diagnostic medical imaging services to the major hospitals and various medical offices in the Schenectady area. In 1990 SRPC expanded their service area beyond Schenectady by opening of Balltown Medical Imaging (BMI), a free standing medical imaging facility on Balltown Road in Niskayuna. 2006 brought the opening of SRPC's Guilderland Medical Imaging (GMI) on Carman Road in Guilderland. GMI is very convenient to Western Albany County, Schenectady County, Schoharie and Montgomery County.

The eleven radiologists of SRPC take their role in providing high quality health care services very seriously. They recently completed updating their facilities as well as adding new high technology equipment, including digital mammography and X-Ray. The addition of this equipment made complete the SRPC goal of having all digital modalities that greatly improve image quality and allow instant access to images. Digital technology greatly speeds up the process of getting reports to referring physicians. . . often on the same day of testing.

The locations of SRPC facilities offer convenience to people throughout the Capital Region...especially those in Schenectady and Schoharie Counties, as well as the people of Western Albany and Southern Saratoga Counties.
